We are planning a number of trips for you to enjoy if you wish, before, during, and after our conference. If you want to see the sites in and around Albuquerque, we hope you'll take advantage of one of these great options! Click the links to learn more about each option, and stop back July 3rd for a downloadable document with more details and for registration details.Note: Trip fees include transportation (shuttle bus or 15-passenger van) and driver gratuity, plus entrance fees and a guide where applicable. Other costs, such as meals, are not included unless noted.

Thursday, Oct. 23
Old Town Shuttle11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Cost: $10
Old Town is filled with shops, restaurants, museums, and historic sites. There's something for everyone! We'll have a continuously running shuttle bus to and from Old Town. The price will cover your way to and from Old Town one time. Our shuttle will leave from the hotel each hour and depart from Old Town each half hour.
Museum of Archaeology and Biblical History

Cost: $35
One of the top museums of biblical archeology and history awaits your visit. Hundreds of ancient artifacts are on display from every period of biblical history. One of the museum's docents will give you an expert tour of the museum's holdings.
Sandia Peak Tramway
4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Cost: $50
The world’s longest aerial tramway transports you above deep canyons and breathtaking terrain. See nature’s dramatic beauty unfold before you. At sunset the desert skies produce a spectacular array of color form the observation deck atop 10,378 foot Sandia Peak in the Cibola National Forest, giving you an 11,000 square-mile panoramic view of the “Land of Enchantment”. A restaurant at the top is available if you wish to have dinner atop Sandia Peak (dinner not included).

Petroglyph National Monument & hiking

Cost: $30
Petroglyph National Monument protects a variety of cultural and natural resources including volcanos, archeological sites and an estimated 20,000 carved images. Many of the images are recognizable as animals, people, brands and crosses; others are more complex. A guide will lead you through the park, which will require hiking and some moderately challenging climbing to see some of the sights.

New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science
From dinosaur fossils to outer-space visits, this museum has it all. This huge museum was our personal favorite...
The Albuquerque Museum of Art and History
...or maybe this was our favorite! Truth is, they were all really great. Art in every shape and form can be found here.
This is actually 4 parks in one! Take your pick from the Albuquerque Aquarium, Rio Grande Botanical Center, Rio Grande Zoo, and Tingley Beach. A very relaxing place, perfect for a walk with a friend.
Explora
A hands-on museum that is really cool and a lot of fun for everyone! It might be especially interesting to anyone who uses science as part of their Rotation Sunday School classes, or who just wants to learn how to make the learning process more interactive.
National Atomic Museum
The nation's only "Congressionally chartered museum of nuclear science and history" is anything but boring, even if you're not a science geek. Learn about every aspect you can possibly imagine (and several you never would have) about the atom. It's sure to get you thinking!

Turquoise Museum

Cost: $45
There are a lot of interesting and unusual museums in Albuquerque, and one of them is this gem of a museum (no pun intended!) See the largest collection of turquoise in the world, with pieces from over 60 mines around the world. By the time you're done, you'll have a good idea about what to look for to distinguish "natural" turquoise from artificial turquoise (which most "turquoise" is.) The price includes having one piece of jewelry professionally appraised, so be sure to bring one along.

Historic Santa Fe is one of the must-see destination spots in New Mexico, and we knew there would be many people who would love to take a trip there. Here's your chance to enjoy the many shops, museums, historic sites, and delicious restaurants of Santa Fe. The cost includes entrance to the Loredo Chapel and the San Miguel Mission, led by a guide.
